Biography

Marcos Sepúlveda is a Civil Engineer in Industries with a major in Computer Science from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. He also holds the academic degrees of Master and Doctor of Engineering Sciences of said house of studies.

Since 2001 he has been a full-time professor at the School of Engineering of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, in the area of ​​Information Technology. His academic interests are linked to Process Mining, the management of business processes, Process-Oriented Data Science, and to the strategic use of IT in companies.

He is the director of the Information Technology Studies Center of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (CETIUC), which aims to promote best practices in the use of Information Technology and raise awareness among the key actors of the importance of the IT for the generation of value and to increase the efficiency of business processes.
